Our actions should be realistic:

We know that the struggle will be long and indefinite. Our main goal is the respect and fair treatment of all species without discrimination (no living being chosen by its nature, its species or even its life). We are conscious that we'll move forward only step by step. Consequently, it is our goal to be patient and realistic.

Fur:

Abolish both the production and selling of the natural furs.

 

Games:

Abolish  all  games involving animals: bull fights, dog fights,  etc.

 

Experiments on animals :

Our reasoning is first of all ethical. Experience has proven that the medicines tested on animals are not always reliable. For these reasons, we ask for new alternative scientific methods to take the place of experiments on animals.

 

domestic animals:

- banning the sales of  mammals

- sterilization of all homeless animals financed by the State funds

- creation of  civil status monitoring for animals

- pet status for  equines

- control of reproduction and as a consequence abolition of the mercy killing of the overpopulation

- establishment of a renewable animal possession licensing program

 

 livestock farming:

- new rules concerning slaughter

- generalization of stunning before the ritual slaughter

- banning of all kinds of mutilation

- banning of  “foie gras”

- banning of long transportation

hunting:

For  wealthy countries:

Nowadays, hunting has neither economical nor environmental reasons contrary to what  hunters and their powerful associates claim. It is nothing more than a perverse and unsound leisure, a fantasy of virile power. Hunting is just cruelty, destruction, a source of suffering for animals, of deterioration of biodiversity, of environmental pollution, and accidents... A hobby that is totally undemocratic in France since for six months a year, 2 % of the population deprive the other 98 % of us of  the opportunity to peacefully enjoy nature.

We can only ask for the complete ban of these outdated activities. Some countries have already done it. Hunting is abolished in Geneva's canton since 1974!

Nevertheless being realistic we demand first of all:

•    banning of hunting on Wednesdays and Sundays

•    banning trapping and uprooting

•    immediate banning of all types of hunting

•    effective application of the European legislation: in particular concerning hunting times and the species approved to be hunted (especially for the migratory birds); and also abolition of the French prerogatives in this sphere.

•    abolition of the concept of harmful animal», a real biological nonsense and a complete absurdity in the sphere of respect for environment.

 

Intensive (or industrial) fishing

Intensive fishing leads to the largescale extinction of sea species, to the destruction of the ocean bottom, to the pollution of the ocean. We demand:

- the end of all forms of industrial fishing .

- the protection of endangered species.

- the introduction of  a new policy of sustainable handling of  ocean resources.

- a more active repression of illegal fishing (20% of the market – Greenpeace valuation)

penal code :

we want new penal repressive laws for cases of violation of rules concerning the mistreatment of animals as well as a new means of application of these laws.

 

meat :

Taking into consideration the

- ecological

- sanitary

- ethical

disaster that it represents, we can only disapprove intensive farming and promote alternative solutions.
